Do you think the music industry is rotting?

I mostly listen to rock music, and while I appreciate older bands from the past, I do get sick of hearing the same thing so I welcome new stuff. but as for pop music, I haven't been too impressed with stuff that has come out in the last 2 years. When I buy pop, it's mostly been from Lady Gaga cause she's got the catchiest stuff out right now. The rest of it is the R&B crap, or rap junk from Lil Wayne or Jay Z, and I just don't want to hear it.
