Do i have an infection in my eye ?

the last couple of mornings when i wake up my eyes are covered in a yellowish gue , iv been using drops called Brolene i got in the chemist 2 days ago for miner eye infections , conjunctivitis and sticky eye. but it hasnt helped . could it be something else ? or dose it take long to clear ?
