I just found out someone I know has Stage IV leukemia....?

and it's really got me thinking about what I want in life. I almost feel anxious like I'm not living life the way I want to live. I'm in medical school and not sure I really want to be, I guess... during the past election, I really fell in love with politics, but I think it's always an option... Is it normal to be so reflective on my life even though this person wasn't my friend in any sense? Just my age... I'm only 22.
