Is it possible to "rent a church" if you are nonreligious but want to get married in a beautiful cathedral?

It depends on the church. My fiance is an alumni at a local university that has the most beautiful, historic chapel. I'm not religious at all, but I do have a respect for faith and people who have it, and I love history and historical buildings so we decided to get married at his chapel.
