What should you do when your dog has been stolen?

Our house was broken into last night, and a long with a lot of our belongings, our dog was stolen as well. I have already contacted the police, and I posted a notice on craigslist.org. My husband is printing up some fliers today. What else can we do? He is microchipped in case they drop him off somewhere. He is fixed, so I can't imagine why they would have taken him. How much of reward should be offered for his safe return? Thank you.
